FPC's Parents of Little Ones (P.O.L.O.) Playdates
Looking for something new to do during the week? How about a casual play hour with other babies, toddlers, and adults. Bring your little ones to play and yourself to connect with other parents (or grandparents).  Adults are asked to stay with their children.  Meet in the FPC Nursery located on the first floor Education Wing on Thursday, February 8 from 10:00 to 11:00am.  Future gatherings will be March 8 at the same time.
Bingo Bash & Free Pizza night -- fun for the whole family at FPC
What is something the whole family can do together on a cold winter night in January? Eat pizza and play Bingo at FPC with fabulous people and prizes! Come, warm up and relax at our first ever Bingo Bash in the Basement on Wednesday, January 17 from 6:00-7:30pm. Prizes for every Bingo!  Younger kids, youth, teens, college kids, big kids at heart: Grab your family and come on down to Fellowship Hall.  It's going to rock!  RSVP to Lori Phelps, Director of Family & Children's Ministries, or Ezrah Schmeelk, Director of Student Ministries, and we'll save you a spot.

Children’s First Publicly Recognized Communion at FPC
The Presbyterian Church believes it is the right and responsibility of parents to decide when their child is ready to participate in Communion.  Anyone who professes faith in Jesus Christ can take Communion at any time in our church, including children.  Communion reminds us of Jesus’ love and sacrifice for us.  FPC families have expressed a desire to publicly recognize this important and significant moment in their child’s faith journey. Each year we invite children whose families have decided they are ready for Communion to come forward to receive the sacrament and a special blessing in a public recognition during worship service.  This year we will have this special recognition on Sunday, February 4. This may be your child’s first Communion, but even children who have taken Communion for a while and wish to be publicly recognized are invited to join us. We ask parents considering first Communion for their child to attend the meeting on Sunday, January 21 with Pastor Kirk (details below).

First Communion Training for Parents with Pastor Kirk
Are You Considering Having Your Child Receive Communion for the First Time? There will be a Communion Training Session for Parents, conducted by Pastor Kirk, on Sunday, January 21, 9:55am-10:30am (during Sunday School) in the FPC conference room. The desired goal of the training is to have parents take away a refreshed understanding of why and when one should take communion. Teaching tools will be provided to allow you as parents to teach your children about the sacrament of Communion. We believe parents are the best educators for their children, and the church is the support in a child’s faith journey. Parents may or may not opt to have their child take part in FPC’s First Publicly Recognized Communion, which will take place on Sunday, February 4 during service. Please RSVP to if you plan to attend this meaningful Communion training. Muffins and coffee will be provided

Bible Presentations (see dates below)
It is a valued tradition at FPC to present a complimentary, age-appropriate Bible to our children at both preschool age and again after 6th grade to use in growing their faith.
